Operation Christmas Child

This is an function that Smaritan's Purse puts on where different churches around the world give shoe boxes full of gifts to Samaritan's purse. They then take the boxes and give them to other charity organizations in 3rd world countries to be given out to children.

The First day we went around to all the houses inviting the children. We mainly went to Indian families(people from India).

They invited us into their homes and we had tea with them, building relationship.

On the 3rd day we gave out the gifts, I had the opportunity to hand out some of the gifts.

Kelsey my co-leader also handed out gifts. (Can you guess who is from Johns Island?)

Prayer Mountain

This is the landscape around "Prayer mountain" which is the name of the first piece of property that Loren Cunningham bought. (The founder of YWAM)

We came here at the start of our ministry in Fiji to pray for our time in Fiji.

This land is what got me interested in coming to Fiji in the first place. Yohanan the school leader mentioned this piece of land on my DTS when I was a student and after that moment I knew I was called to go to Fiji. Next thing I know I'm leading an outreach in Fiji.

Its one of the few pieces of property that YWAM has that doesn't have much on it. There is only a shack there to this day and it was bought around 50 years ago. However they are building a base there now.

Scotland

This is Arbroath Scotland, its a fishing town in Scotland.

We made signs that said "you are loved" and we went out into the town and held them up. People were really grateful.

This is a miniature christmas tree my mom sent me. We all gathered round it for Christmas it was awesome.
This is a cafe that we were given to use for Christmas. So on christmas we cooked dinner and enjoyed Christmas together.
The Cafe

We did a lot of practical work while we were in Scotland.
There was a family of Missionaries who needed some help painting so we did that.

This is a church plant that we helped out with. It was a new church starting in an older church building.
We did testimonies, skits and we did the sermon some sundays.

Carols at the Manor/ the snow

These are pictures from the event called Carols at the Manor. Its a ministry event where people from around the area come for an evening at the Manor. Its a time where we can reach out to the surrounding community and just show people that we care.  We sing carols and we have tea and crumpets for everyone.

This is what Holmsted looked like right before carols at the manor. The snow then preceded to Melt, just in time seeing as we were coming back from Ireland and we wouldn't of made it home if the snow didn't melt

However It has recently snowed again and this is what it looks right now.

Fiji

The nation of Fiji is a grouping of 322 islands that is located in the South Pacific. Fiji is a Christian nation but it is only 3 generations away from being a cannibalistic nation. Eventhough they are known for being a Christian nation close to 50% of kids are sexually abused in the families as they grow up.
Ministry Points in FIJI

Family Ministry, Orphanages, Prison Ministry,Open air proclamation, Tribal Ministry(potential of staying with a tribe for awhile ministering to them), Relational Ministry

These are some of the people from the YWAM base in Nadi, Fiji. Nadi is the town that the International airport for Fiji is in and this is the base that we will most likely be starting at.

The two major Religions there are Christianity and Hinduism. Also the two major people groups are the Indians and the Fijians. There is major conflict between the Indians and the Fijians.

We leave England on January 1st and January 3rd for Fiji. There are 2 different teams because we were only able to get half the team on one plane. Outreach is supposed to start on December 17th but we could only find cheap tickets on January 1st and 3rd so we are still looking for options for the first 2 weeks. We are looking at going somewhere in Europe for the first 2 weeks, that includes northern England. We will most likely be working with a YWAM base during those weeks, coming along side a ministry that is being pioneered.
